My website is continuing to receive virus attacks. These attacks are directly related to installing avatars. My anti-virus alerted me to a virus but and closed the window while I was trying to upload an avatar. I have ran a scan since then and nothing. The virus is actually on the website and it's all screwed up! This is the second time this has happened, is there away I can help prevent these attacks?

I found this on Vb.org but not sure if it would help?

First I will admit I am newbie and still in the process of figuring things out. So much to learn...

This is on Vbulletin 4.0.3 BTW

So, the "user name" text is not disappearing once you click inside the login box. You have to manually delete it every time. I would like to either fix this or get rid of the text altogether. I did read a post made by DJ Dan back in 09 about how to delete this from the navbar template but I cannot find the code referenced.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Skinbox.net is looking for a vBulletin skin coder/designer.

Here are the requirements:
- You must have an excellent knowledge of vBulletin 4.x
- You must have an excellent knowledge of CSS and XHTML
- You must know how to work with Photoshop
- You must be fluent in English
- You must do clean, accessible, cross browser, w3c compliant work and must love details and perfection

Knowledge of jQuery is a plus.

You would not need to create complete designs. We are more looking for something to code our current IP.Board 3.1.1 skins (and future skins) to vBulletin 4.x.

The compensation is made that way: you receive a certain amount of money every time you complete a skin, then you receive a certain % every month.

If you are interested please email us at admin (at) skinbox.net or PM me directly.

hey everyone!

i just recently successfully used some great data services to move all of the tables from a Microsoft SQL 2000 database to a fresh MySQL database.

I started with ImpEx, and used that to move the users and forums, I used a MySQL frontend GUI to move the threads and posts.

Everything worked pretty good but I have one concern, the timestamps on all of the posts now read 12-31-1969...

The Microsoft SQL table that had timestamps formatted the data as MM-DD-YYYY HH:MM

The MySQL table has a data type named "dateline", and vBulletin generates this random string of numbers for a timestamp..

Anyone know what I can do? Is there a method to this random number that gets generated in MySQL when a timestamp is created?

Thank you so much in advance!

Michael
