list of directories?

i was j/w if anybody has a list of FREE directories i can submit my sites to..

i am using this one now..

they update every day or so...

but i want to submit to more links while i have free time! im saving money and submitting my self..

i want the directories that are FREE links.. and are the easy one to submit.. enter title, url, name, email, category and bam! your done..

just send me lists if you have any.

There are quite a few of these on the web - that's an understatement actually.

When submitting your community and/or website to such directories, use extreme caution. Many of these services simply trash the URL(s) submitted and use your e-mail address to send SPAM and unwanted advertising.

Boy, how unethical. Has anyone who uses different email addresses to submit to each site to determine who uses it for spam ever made a list of directories that do that?

That's a fantastic question. Such a resource would be fantastic, particularly for those who are so intent on using such directory services.

i use the same exact email for every submission.. and i do get a TON of spam.. chinese symbols and stuff.. or what ever..

the reason why i ask for lists from you all is because i want the ones that are active and working.. ones you guys have used

To be honest, Brandon, I have yet to find a directory/link submission service that works appropriately - meaning without receiving an influx of junk e-mail in the process.

do you have a link anywhere that has a big list of directories?? ill go down the line and just submit to them.

Right now the only lists like that I can think of are posts on other forums which I probably shouldn't link to, or copy and paste.
