Default eBay partner network

I'm always looking for ways to monetize my site without being a distraction to my members. 2 weeks ago I opened an eBay partner account.

I'll back track here, because when you register someone from eBay actually calls you to confirm your account which was impressive.

I created a pave for the eBay items and have been amazed at the results.

I've been making a fair amount of money from it actually 3-5 times as much per day as I am getting from AdSense and I have it separated out to it's own page so its not obnoxious.

If your site has a niche that has products associated with it which are found don eBay I highly recommend this program. It might be the best monetization tool I've found.

Have they improved the banner system? I opened my ebay partner account 2 years ago, and the banner system was TERRIBLE. I was interested in their RSS feed system, their system was clunky, difficult to work with, and the final output was ugly,,,,, and that is being nice.

I finally took the ebay ads off and replaced them with amazon ads.

I dont use a banner, I give it it's own page. I may incorporate some smaller ads in my sidebar or elsewhere.

another option (my 3rd time typing it cause it keeps thing i'm logged out), would be to use a service like Skimlinks :: Simplified affiliate marketing for publishers - generate revenue from your site's content easily which automatically adds referral tags to outbound links to sites like ebay, amazon.com, kmart, etc. So you make money without ever lifting a finger!

I've been trying the EPN flash banners to show available products. I noticed that the items on banners that were working properly a couple of weeks ago are now showing unrelated items.

don't know why. but I have to recreate the banner code and paste the new code.

it sounds risky, doing something funky with your ebay links.

So, if I put these on my music site, I could set it up in such a way that if someone buys a CD, then I get a cut of the money? Do they have to click through your ads, or is it just if you show an item which is then bought later on?

I don't get it lol, and where is the sign up link?

They are PPC ads but my click through rate is really high but their formula is unique.

Here's the link.

https://www.ebaypartnernetwork.com/

I'll check out the skimlinks.com.

Isn't that the same thing as cookie stuffing? From what I understand, ebay does not like to see that kind of stuff.

bucket & kevin

as far as i understand, it's not a risky/funky practice. Basically if a link is going out to a site, like ebay or amazon.com, the software will automatically add referrer code. Technically, you are a referrer for a possible sale, you only get paid if that person buys, and you're not somehow tricking somebody into buying it. It's how affiliate networks work.

Have you read or heard something differently?

I use EPN on my websites.

i read a post on the EPN forums (or was it abestweb?) where someone was expired, and had been using that software to rewrite forum URLs. of course, no way to know for sure what caused the problem.

My site uses a mixture of eBay PN and Adsense and it works well.
It really depends on your site and it's content as it may not be for everyone.
It works well for my site and the ads are for eBay auctions for products my site is about so it works really well and compliments my site well.

I would say, try it and see how it goes, you may be surprised with the results.
