LOL. So much for "the old developers used to listen to customers" argument. Good as they were, I always suspected they had their own vision and customer feedback had very little effect on it.

The thing is - most people will not acknowledge a good idea unless it was their idea.

There are 2 types of personalities in the world - positive and negative.

Positive personality - looks for ways to build up ideas and help other people. Listens to stuff with an open mind, looks for positive things in suggestions, people and ideas.

Negative personality - looks for ways to shoot ideas, suggestions and other people down. These are the types of people, the first words out of their mouths is - "the problem with that is,,,,,," then they go onto tell you how bad the idea was.

Keep that in mind the next time you make a suggestion and pay attention to the persons response.

Negative people are the destroyers, they tear things down, their life is stagnate. Positive people are builders and producers.

The suggestions and feedback forum was *never* ignored. 3.6, 3.7 and 3.8 were *entirely* sourced from that forum, with the exception of features that were dictated to us from above.

Countless times we had asked for someone to be hired to sort through the S&F forum and bring forward suggestions to the dev team so that the devs could get on with actually implementing the features in the very limited time we had available, but our requests were never met by James.

The work you and the support team did in categorising the S&F forum was greatly appreciated (and instigated by me, if you remember) and it was only the fact that the vB4 project as we understood it was scrapped that meant that none of the stuff you had collected made it into IB's vB4.
