I've been working on  new IPB skin that I plan to either sell cheap or give away free. Haven't decided yet.

It's a 2 column forum home theme that can be reverted to one column easily. It's a light theme. There are a few 2 column skins, but, not many for IPB 3.2.3 and I've seen many people asking for one.

I have it running live and what I need is for you to take a look at it and let me know what you think. I installed on on one of my new forums so if you would take some time and visit http://macminiforum.com to check out the skin and give me feedback I'd appreciate it. Just select the IP.Columns skin from the style switcher.

I like it much better than the mini blue.

I went back and fourth from mini blue to IP. columns and back.To see the differences more easily.

What stands out for me is the softer more pleasing appearance that now allows the forum headings to stand out without the competing thick blue bars in the mini blue skin.

I see this as a winner for me.I would make it my default theme in visiting the forum.

Good work!

I used the default IPB colors as a base and softened them and removed some of the padding. I created a few new classes for the columns.

It's the first time I created a complete style. It takes more time than I thought and now I understand why there really aren't many free styles. I will be distributing it once I get a few more tweaks done. I just don't know if it will be free.

Thanks for the feedback.

Like it.

The 2 column layout works really well, it's a good colour scheme as well. I would personally change the footer slightly, perhaps a blue bar similar to the top. The black lines down the side just seem to stop and go nowhere.

Those were my markers. I forgot to take them out after I got the main wrapper complete. I build the outline first and then fill it as I go. Should not see them now.

I changed the way redirect forums look. They are in a single column and they are styled so you know they are redirects. Let me know what you think of the redirect forum style.

This style is done. Look for it to be available here and at IPS Marketplace. Still unsure if I'll charge for it.

There are a few things I'll change in future versions. One will be adding a config file to easily change to one column view along with some other options.

Looks better now, having a small problem with the redirect forum though which seem to be overlapping slightly. Using Firefox 10.0.1

What screen resolution are you using? I can't duplicate it.

I made a few changes to the style. I think it's ready now. Take a look at it again and let me know what you think.

I will be giving it away. I'll put it up for download in a couple days. I just want to get more feedback on the changes I did.

I see that the right side of the board now matches up with the rest of the index page nicely.

But I do have a small quibble:

The phrase IPS Community does not fit with the rest of the page and gets even worse when looking at a thread. The true name of the forum is nearly invisible but IPS community is very easy to see.

Is it mini mac forums or is it IPS community?

:)

I took my logo out because I am getting ready to export it and put it up for download. I didn't want to include my logo with it. Once I export it I will add my logo back.

The way it is now is the what you'll get. Just add your logo.

I think I fixed that bug. Let me know if it works now.
